Making: Another one of those tiny wines we make just to bring something different and delicious into the world and celebrate diversity rather than just same same. A really special little site out in the bush in Ferguson Valley, where the fruit glows with the bloom of healthy vines. Wild yeast, open top ferment with gentle hand plunging, 10% whole bunch, before resting 8 months in some classy seasoned French hogsheads.
Tasting: Violet, game, with stalky spice notes; medium-bodied, savoury, with elegant tannins and pleasing length. A beautiful example of the variety and great value.
