LV Vermentino 2024

$30.00

Vintage: 2024

Source: Swinney Vineyard, Frankland River, Great Southern.

Fermentation: Six days pre-ferment skin contact, before pressing to large Slavonian oak foudres and seasoned French hogsheads for wild fermentation. Six months on full ferment lees before bottling without fining.

Tasting: Fresh citrus and quince, coastal herbs. Juicy textural glide, finishing with a cleansing saline vibe. Proof that Vermentino feels right at home in Great Southern!

Alcohol 11.5%

Reviews:
“Pear, apple and green orange, lemongrass, oregano and citrus wax with a sweet almond. All this makes for a subtle complexity in this wine, a good start. Super refreshing on the palate, with a pink grapefruit bitterness and herbaceous finish, with more of the Italian-themed bitter herbs and sweet citrus tones in development. It’s textural and very much engaging the taste buds, seemingly elemental and fresh, but quietly interesting and detailed. 93 Points. Kasia Sobiesiak, WineFront.
